Wall Street Journal Online (WSJ.com) Access

Trexler Library offers current students, faculty, and staff the option to have full access to all The Wall Street Journal content on the wsj.com website. This guide provides instructions for setting up your individual account allowing you to log in to the

WSJ Access Overview

Access to The Wall Street Journal at wsj.com is available to current students and staff through Trexler Library's subscription.

  • To gain access, set up a user account connected to your @muhlenberg.edu email address using the Library Account Setup process below.
  • Account holders have a full access WSJ membership through wsj.com.
  • Wsj.com includes news from the current year plus 4 previous years. 

WSJ Account Holders

If you already have an account with wsj.com through Trexler Library's subscription, log in to The Wall Street Journal here.

If you have a personal subscription, and would like to switch to Trexler Library's subscription, follow these steps:

  1. Call 1-800-JOURNAL (1-800-568-7625) to cancel your subscription immediately. Tell the operator you are canceling because you are a student/faculty/staff member at Muhlenberg College which is now a WSJ partner.
  2. After your cancellation is confirmed, proceed with Library Account Setup (next section below).

Library Account Setup

  1. Start at WSJ.com/Muhlenberg to create your account through the library's subscription. The link works on campus and off campus.
  2. Fill in the form using your @muhlenberg.edu email address for your username and a password of your choice.
  3. Submit your account details. Next you should be shown a confirmation screen and receive a “Welcome to the Wall Street Journal” email.
  4. Using the link shown with the confirmation screen or in the email, Sign In to wsj.com.
  5. After sign-in, you will be asked to verify your email address. Click the button to request a verification email.
  6. Look for the verification email in your email inbox (Subject line: “Please verify your email address for WSJ”).
  7. Open the email and click the link in the email. You should receive a final Welcome screen with a sign-in link. You are now a verified account holder.
  8. After account verification, your first sign-in includes a series of screens that allow you to customize your experience and review features available. You may skip some or all of the screens using the button at the bottom of each screen.

 

Staff/faculty accounts: you will receive an email annually asking you whether you want to renew your account. This is a one-click process. You may also complete renewal from within your account page.
