Chronicle of Higher Education Online Access

Trexler Library has a site license subscription to Chronicle of Higher Education (CHE). The site license gives everyone at Muhlenberg on-campus access to all Premium content on chronicle.com. We also provide domain name access which provides off-campus access to those who sign up for a Chronicle account using their @muhlenberg.edu email address. Further access instructions are included below. If you come across any content you have questions about accessing please contact refdesk@muhlenberg.edu

On Campus

1. Connect to the campus network (via desktop computer or MuhlenbergWiFi).
2. Go to https://chronicle.com

Off Campus

To access articles while off-campus you must have a Chronicle sign-in account under your Muhlenberg email address (@muhlenberg.edu). You can set up the account while on campus or off campus.

Create a Chronicle Sign In Account

1. Create the account here: https://www.chronicle.com/account/create using your @muhlenberg.edu email address.
2. After you have a Chronicle account under your @muhlenberg.edu email address:
   a. Go to https://chronicle.com or use a link for a specific Chronicle article.
   b.  Sign In to the Chronicle website with your Muhlenberg email address and password.

Expired Account

If your access expires, reset your password in order to regain access. Go to the Sign In screen and click on "Forgot password?"

Do I Need a Chronicle Account?

You will need an account if you want to access the Chronicle from off-campus. An account is also useful if you want to receive Chronicle newsletters.
