How to access the Trexler Library online subscription to Chronicle of Higher Education,

Does the library receive a print copy of the weekly edition of the Chronicle?

No. Print copies are not included with the library's site license. The library does not have a separate print subscription.

What content is included with the library's site license?

  • Unlimited digital access to Chronicle.com content, news, and data.
  • Access to the CHE archive dating back to 1989.
  • Special themed issues, including The Trends Report, The Almanac, the Academic Workplace Issue, and the Leadership Issue.
  • Daily and weekly newsletters with the creation of a free "Sign In" account (Sign up with your @muhlenberg.edu email address.)

How do I sign up to receive a newsletter?

  1. You must have a Chronicle Account. Instructions are available at this link.
  2. Sign in to https://chronicle.com.
  3. After you sign in, click on "Newsletters" on the menu bar. You will see a list of available Newsletters. Click the "Sign Up" link for each newsletter you would like to receive.
  4. How do I stop receiving a newsletter?

If you have a newsletter email, look for the "Unsubscribe" link within the email. Alternatively, sign in to your Chronicle account at https://chronicle.com. After you sign in, click on "Newsletters" on the menu bar. You will see a list of available Newsletters. Click the "Stop Receiving" button next to each newsletter you would like to stop.

Can I use Zotero with my Chronicle account?

Yes. Please note, if you have the library proxy enabled through Zotero, you might encounter errors when accessing Chronicle of Higher Education articles. You will need to remove the proxy for CHE.
