Chronicle of Higher Education Online Access

Trexler Library has a site license subscription to The Chronicle of Higher Education. The site license provides everyone at Muhlenberg on-campus and off-campus online access to news, and data, including articles and essays dating back to 1989 on the chronicle.com website. In addition, the library provides domain name access (muhlenberg.edu) to chroncle.com. This library guide provides access instructions and information about the subscription.

Do I Need a Chronicle Account?

You will need an account if you want to sign up to receive Chronicle newsletters. You might also find it easier to sign in to read an article through a link that was forwarded from someone else. When you have a personal Sign In account, you still can access chronicle.com through the campus network.

How to Create a Chronicle Sign In Account

1. Login to chronicle.com using the following link: https://muhlenberg.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://chronicle.com/
   Note: If you are not logged in to the campus network, you may be prompted to login to OneLogin. After login you will automatically be redirected to the chronicle.com website.
2. On the chronicle.com website, click on the "Sign In" link in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. Look for "Don't have a Chronicle account? Sign Up. Click on the Sign Up link.
4. Fill in the form provided. Be sure to use your @muhlenberg.edu email address. Complete the registration process as instructed.
5. After you complete your Chronicle account set up with your @muhlenberg.edu email address, you may go to the https://chronicle.com website and Sign In.

Reactivating an Expired Account

If your access expires, reset your password in order to regain access. Go to https://chronicle.com and click on the Sign In link. On the Sign In screen, find and click on "Forgot password?"
