  • An Ebook Central personal account is required for downloading chapters, copying, printing, and using the Bookshelf feature. The account will be set up automatically based on your email address. Please note that your email address is available to ProQuest because you signed in through One Login. The email address will only be used to identify your account. With this single-sign-on method, you do not need to assign and remember a username and password. Your account will automatically be deleted after 24 months of inactivity.

For some ebooks, ProQuest allows a full ebook download for a limited time period.  To download a full ebook requires you to have a digital reader that can handle Adobe Digital Rights Management.  You may download and install free Adobe Digital Editions software and set up a free personal ADE login account. Please consult "Downloading for offline access" for instructions and alternative apps.

* If you do not have a OneLogin username and password, you can still use ebooks while on the Muhlenberg network. You will need to modify the URL for the ebook you want to go to. Follow these instructions:

  • Remove the proxy prefix from the ebook link before clicking on it in the browser. Start after "=" and stop before "https%3A%2F%2Febookcentral.proquest.com".
The proxy prefix looks like this:
