A guide to using mobile collaboration stations and the projector located in the Information Commons room

Connecting Wirelessly

The process for connecting wirelessly is the same for the IC projector and the mobile collaboration stations. You should already have the monitor and computer on at the station you are using. If you need help with this, see the Projector tab if you're using the Projector, or the Mobile Collaboration Units tab.

Laptop Setup

Mac

  1. Select the AirPlay Icon (Figure 1) on the top right side of the laptop screen.

  2. Choose the IC mini that matches the name of the IC computer your are mirroring to.

  3. If your screen is not mirrored, check that the IC screen input is HDMI1.

PC or Chromebook

  1. You must have the Chrome browser installed on your laptop.  Using Chrome as your browser, follow this link to add the Mirroring360 extension to Chrome.

  2. Select the blue Add to Chrome box (Figure 2).

  3. Click on the Mirroring360 icon (Figure 3).

  4. A window should appear on the collaboration station screen displaying a Mirroring ID number. Enter this number  into the box on your laptop.

  5. Your screen should now be mirrored on the on the collaboration station screen.

Phone/Tablet Setup

iPhone

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of your phone screen to display the Control Panel.

  2. Select AirPlay Mirroring. The icon is shown in Figure 1.

  3. Select the IC Mini name matching the station you are using from the list.

  4. Your phone screen should now display on the projector screen or collaboration unit screen that you are using. If it doesn't display, make sure HDMI1 is the selected input.

Android

  1. You will need to go to the Play Store and download the Mirroring360 Basic Sender app onto your device.

  2. Open the app.

  3. Follow the instructions (swipe screen to the left)

  4. Select the IC mini mac from the station you are at

  5. Your phone screen should now display on the station monitor

  6. Swipe down from the top and choose close Mirroring 360
