Music Research - finding the score

How to locate music scores for research and performance at Trexler Library.

Vocal music includes 2 main types:

  • works written for ensembles of voices, including operas, musicals, and choral music, located in Dewey SCO 782 (also known as "dramatic music")
  • works written for solo voices, or voice accompanied by piano or other instrument, located in Dewey SCO 783

Note that although operatic 'arias' and arias from musicals are technically for solo voices, because they are part of a larger dramatic work, we class them in 782 with 'dramatic music'.
